The Regionaal Data Team Midden-NL, including the province of Utrecht, wanted to demonstrate the value of mobility data to policymakers and road managers. Despite a wealth of publicly available data, much of it remained underused because it wasn't accessible or presented meaningfully. Together with Make Day, we set out to change that.Seamless handled the full technical development. Working in weekly sprint cycles alongside Make Day's consulting team, we delivered working increments every week, enabling rapid feedback and continuous alignment with end users. The use case focused on giving road managers clear insights into road conditions, usage patterns and environmental factors like frost frequency.

The result is a functional data dashboard that brings together multiple mobility data sources into a single, user-friendly interface. Road managers can now access relevant insights at a glance, from traffic volumes to frost events, enabling more efficient and targeted maintenance decisions.Beyond the immediate use case, the dashboard serves a larger purpose. It demonstrates to policymakers what becomes possible when existing data is properly combined and presented. Not the end of the road, but a concrete first step toward data-driven decision-making across the province.
